History of Football in Berkeley

 

Berkeley Sports Football club is a club with a very long tradition, and aims at being a family oriented club..

The club has 3 teams which currently play in the Illawarra Football Association First Division.

The Week that was :

FIRST GRADE .A disappointing weekend for us against Wollongong Olympic, a 1 - 1 draw has enabled Highhlands to overtake us on the table on goal difference.

RESERVES . 3 - 2 Loss also has pulled us right back to the pack in 3rd spot.

YOUTH . A fantastic result for the youth team hitting their straps and starting to play same very good football, we should start making our way up the ladder with more results like these. We are now in 12th spot 1 point behind 11th and one win away from 10th spot on the table

One observation I can make is that we need to be a bit more disciplined in our conduct on the field. We are getting a lot of silly cards for talking back and questioning the Referees. Its a waste of time and money. It doesn't matter what you think of the Referees decision, He or She has made it and you are not going to change their mind, all you will do is get a Yellow or Red.
